Questions

Before you ask.

How much is photo booth hire in Johannesburg?

Most events land between R8 000 and R12 000, fully staffed. We quote individually rather than publishing a rate card, because the hours, the guest count and the venue all change what is involved. Every booking includes two crew for the full duration, setup and breakdown, a strip design made for your event, a styled backdrop, prints there and then, and a digital gallery afterwards. Tell us your date and we will send a written quote within 24 hours.

What is included in the price?

Two crew on site for the full booking, setup and breakdown, a custom print design, a styled backdrop, props, prints there and then, and every image delivered digitally afterwards. The backdrop is included rather than charged as an add-on.

How many prints do we get?

Your allowance is worked out from your guest count when we quote, and it is sized to cover your room comfortably. In practice guests print freely throughout. If an unusually busy event runs beyond the allowance we will tell you what the extra prints cost rather than switching the printer off.

How much space does the booth need?

About 3m x 3m including the backdrop, on a level surface indoors, within reach of a standard plug point. The booth works indoors only — it is electronic, and the printer cannot be exposed to weather.

How long does setup take?

About an hour before your first guest arrives. We arrange access with your venue or coordinator directly so it does not become your job.

Do you stay for the whole event?

Yes. Every booking is staffed by two crew for the full duration. There is no self-service option — looking after your guests is part of what you are paying for.

How quickly do the prints come out?

About twenty seconds. Guests take the photograph and walk away holding it.

Can we design the photo strip ourselves?

The strip design is ours, made for your event — your colours, names, date and any artwork that matters. Send us what you have in mind and we will build it. It is not a template with details swapped in.

Do we get the digital images as well?

Yes. Every image from the event is delivered in an online gallery after the event.

Which areas do you cover?

Johannesburg, Sandton, Randburg, Midrand, Roodepoort and Pretoria as standard. Further afield is possible — tell us the venue and we will quote travel.

How far in advance should we book?

As early as you can for a Saturday, particularly in wedding season. We take a limited number of events so that every one is properly staffed.

Do you need a deposit?

Yes, a deposit confirms your date. We will set out the terms with your quote.

Can the booth go outside?

It makes no difference to us — we set up indoors, always. The booth is electronic and the printer cannot be exposed to weather, so a covered patio or marquee is not a substitute for a room.

Do you offer a 360 booth?

No, deliberately. A 360 clip is a video file that goes to a camera roll and gets buried. We print, because a photograph you can hold is the thing that survives.

Can you brand the prints for a company or campaign?

Yes. For corporate events and brand activations the print is designed around your branding, including any call to action you need on it.
